Today in Union Square, NYC, we saw God move in ways only He could orchestrate. We met Greg, a pastor who has been evangelizing in the park for 13 years. He was painting a picture of his faith, and we prayed with him for his daughter, who’s starting college. Greg pointed us to Thomas, a man who hadn’t been to the park in a while but felt God calling him there to evangelize that day.
Thomas was in shock, realizing the whole encounter was preordained by God. He said he wanted to encourage us, and as we shared scripture and talked, both Sandra, a preacher, and our group ended up encouraging him too. Sandra had gotten lost and found us by chance, but it was clear God had a plan. She reminded us of Revelation 1:7 and Matthew 24:40, emphasizing the urgency of being ready for Jesus’ return.
This all happened at the entrance to a busy park and subway junction, with people walking around trying to figure out what was going on. Despite the busyness, God’s presence was clear.
Before Sandra left, one of our students, Hayden, had a powerful moment. Sandra asked Hayden to pray for her, specifically requesting her to look into her eyes during the prayer. Hayden felt a connection like never before—it was a truly moving and unforgettable moment.
God brought Greg, Thomas, and Sandra together in a way that left us amazed. Every encounter felt handpicked by God, making it a day we will never forget.
