San Francisco Mission Trip Refection 2026 - Spring Break

Posted on

We just got back from San Francisco, and it’s hard to fully put into words what God did this week during spring break.

All week long, our students walked through the resurrection of Jesus—not just once, but through all four Gospels. They saw it from every angle. They didn’t just hear it… they understood it.

And then they went out and shared it. Over and over again, they stepped into conversations with a simple question: “Have you ever thought about what would happen to you when you die?”

From there, they shared the gospel using the five verses they had memorized in the book of Romans. And they didn’t just say it… they believed it.

They were stretched. They stepped into uncomfortable situations. They saw things that were new to them—addiction, homelessness, and real brokenness up close.

But as the week went on, something shifted. Students began having real conversations with people who were searching, asking questions, and open to hearing truth.

They met a woman named Monica who was full of joy and love for the Lord. After we prayed for her, she asked if she could pray over us, and spoke encouragement over our group.

They met Rosanna, who had come out of addiction and was now walking in freedom through Jesus, boldly sharing how He changed her life.

They met a security guard named Joe who was full of joy, asked for prayer for his mother, and reminded our students how meaningful even one conversation can be.

They met people like Veronica, who prayed over our group and encouraged them in a way that stayed with them throughout the week.

And in the middle of all of this, we watched our students step up. Students who were hesitant at the beginning of the week were confidently sharing the gospel by the end. They asked questions, listened well, and spoke truth clearly.

They didn’t just learn about the resurrection… they shared it. This is why we go. Not just to serve, but to share the gospel. Not just to see the need, but to respond to it. Not just to grow closer as a group, but to live out the Great Commission.

Thank you to everyone who continues to pray for and support what God is doing through these students. We are grateful for your continued prayers and support.
