Last Sunday at youth, we had the honor of baptizing 7 students! We are overjoyed that more than 170 people, including 101 students, witnessed this significant event. There is no greater joy than celebrating new life in Christ!
It’s incredible to see how some of those baptized yesterday have journeyed from accepting Jesus as their Savior at Bigstuf and D-Now to publicly proclaiming their faith through baptism. This reflects the biblical pattern—belief in Jesus followed by baptism as an outward sign of an inward transformation.
For some of these students, the decision they made at Bigstuf and D-Now to follow Jesus was deeply personal. SK and Johnny were both baptized in the past at Building 229 and had the incredible privilege of baptizing someone from their small group—students they stood with and prayed for when they made that life-changing decision. Now, they’ve witnessed them publicly declaring their faith, a powerful reflection of the relationships God is building through this group.
Matthew 28:19-20 calls us all to “go and make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
We give God all the glory!
