New Orleans Mission Trip 2027

This trip is often the first mission trip experience for many of our students and has become a life-changing week of faith, service, and discipleship.

What We Do

Throughout the week, students serve in small teams throughout New Orleans, meeting people where they are and sharing the hope of Jesus through relational evangelism.

Our ministry takes us to places all across the city, including:

  • The French Market
  • Canal Street
  • Jackson Square
  • City parks and sidewalks
  • Under bridges
  • Streetcars and public gathering places
  • Community outreach events during the Independence Day holiday

Students spend their days listening to people’s stories, praying with them, encouraging them, serving practical needs, and sharing the Gospel through genuine conversations. Rather than simply completing projects, our focus is building relationships and helping people know they are seen, valued, and loved by God.

Each evening, our team gathers for worship, Bible study, prayer, and a time to reflect on how God worked throughout the day. These conversations often become some of the most meaningful moments of the entire trip.

Where We Stay

Depending on the year, our team stays in a host church or a nearby Airbnb that allows us to live, worship, eat, and grow together as one family throughout the week.

Why This Trip Is Different

This isn’t just a mission trip—it’s an opportunity for students to discover that God can use ordinary people to do extraordinary things.

Over the years, our students have prayed with hundreds of people, listened to countless life stories, and witnessed God work in ways that cannot be explained apart from Him.

Students have encouraged people who felt completely alone, prayed with individuals experiencing homelessness, celebrated with people beginning a new walk with Christ, and met others who simply needed someone willing to stop, listen, and care.

Many students return home saying this week changed not only the lives of the people they met—but their own lives as well.

Preparing Students to Serve

Our students don’t wait until they arrive in New Orleans to learn how to share their faith.

Throughout the year, they participate in monthly relational outreach in Thomasville and summer outreach opportunities in Tallahassee. These experiences teach them how to start conversations, pray with others, listen well, and confidently share the Gospel.

By the time they arrive in New Orleans, they’re ready to serve with compassion, confidence, and boldness.

A Week They’ll Never Forget

For nineteen years, we’ve watched God use this trip to transform lives.

Students return home with a deeper love for Christ, greater compassion for people, lasting friendships, and the confidence to live out their faith every day.

Our prayer is that every student leaves New Orleans understanding that missions isn’t just something we do for one week each summer—it’s a way of life.

Love people. Serve others. Share Jesus.
