Celebrating the True Joy of Christmas
Earlier this week, we came together for our White Elephant Gift Christmas Party—a night full of laughter, joy, and connection. But in the middle of all the fun, we took time to focus on the true meaning of the season.
Christmas isn’t about receiving gifts or traditions like Santa Claus—it’s about the greatest gift of all: Jesus Christ. We explored the purpose of Advent, the anticipation of His coming, and why His birth is the foundation of our faith.
We also looked at Old Testament prophecies that pointed to Jesus, including:
• Born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14 → Matthew 1:22-23)
• Born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2 → Matthew 2:1-6)
• A Light to the Gentiles (Isaiah 9:1-2 → Matthew 4:14-16)
Through this, we reminded students that the real joy of Christmas comes from the hope, peace, and salvation Jesus brings—and how that joy can impact their lives and those around them.
It was an incredible night with a record number of students attending. We’re so thankful for the chance to celebrate Jesus’ birth, build community, and reflect on His love together this Christmas season.
