Celebrating the True Joy of Christmas

This week, we gathered for our White Elephant Gift Christmas Party—a night full of fun, laughter, and connection. For many students, this will be one of the moments they remember most about this Christmas season.

Before the gift exchange, we intentionally broke into small groups and opened the Bible together, walking through Luke 2. Our high school students helped lead middle school students, because we believe real ministry and real growth happen best in small groups.

Some groups clicked easily, and others were more challenging—but that’s real ministry. When we look at Jesus’ life, it was rarely easy. He was surrounded by crowds, interruptions, and constant needs. Even in those moments, purpose and impact were happening—and we’re reminded the same is true today.

We’re incredibly thankful for our leaders and students who served, helped clean, and pointed everyone back to the true meaning of Christmas—the birth of Jesus. Nights like this remind us why we do what we do.
