We were riding in the van on Sunday when we noticed a group of people gathered on a porch. As we got closer, we realized it was a church. Curiosity led us to approach, and to our surprise, they welcomed us with open arms, drawing us into the warmth of their fellowship.
One of the leaders quickly told us she wanted us to meet the pastor. When the pastor came out, her face lit up at the sight of us. With tear-filled eyes, she embraced us tightly. Through her emotion, she shared that her daughter had passed away just this past Thursday and that she believed the Lord had brought us to her as a reminder that He is near, even in her grief.
In that moment, we were reminded of the beauty of the body of Christ. How He weaves His people together at just the right time, to comfort, to strengthen, and to bear one another’s burdens. — Written by Lauren Strickland
This past Sunday we went out to bless others through our monthly street evangelism in Thomasville, but in the process, we were blessed as well. Some of our students had never prayed for anyone outside their family before, so for them to step out and pray for a stranger was a really special thing to witness. All glory to God!
