Statement of Faith

Everything we do at The Walk Youth Groupand 1NeedNow, Inc. is grounded in the truth of God’s Word and centered on Jesus Christ. While our students come from many different churches and denominational backgrounds, these foundational biblical beliefs guide our teaching, discipleship, outreach, and mission trips.

About the Scriptures

We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God. Holy men were moved by the Holy Spirit to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is true, trustworthy, and without error in its original writings. It is our final authority for faith and daily living.

About God

We believe there is one true and living God who eternally exists in three distinct Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are equal in nature, power, and glory.

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who became fully human without ceasing to be fully God. He lived a sinless life, revealed God to humanity, died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and now reigns at the right hand of the Father.

About the Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God, equal with the Father and the Son. He convicts people of sin, reveals their need for Jesus Christ, and indwells every believer from the moment of salvation.

The Holy Spirit provides believers with power for godly living, understanding of spiritual truth, spiritual gifts for ministry, and guidance in doing what is right. Christians are called to live daily under His leadership.

About Humanity

We believe all people were created in the image of God to know Him and have fellowship with Him. Because of Adam’s sin, all people are born with a sinful nature and have personally sinned, falling short of the glory of God.

As a result, no one can restore a right relationship with God through personal effort, good works, or religious activity.

About Salvation

We believe salvation is the free gift of God’s grace and cannot be earned through good works or human effort.

We believe the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, and His bodily resurrection provide the only basis for the forgiveness of sin. Anyone who repents of sin and places their faith in Jesus Christ alone receives forgiveness, eternal life, and becomes a child of God.

About Eternity

We believe every person was created to exist forever.

Those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ will spend eternity in the presence of God in Heaven. Those who reject God’s offer of salvation through Jesus Christ will spend eternity separated from God.

About the Christian Life

We believe every believer is called to grow in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through prayer, studying God’s Word, worship, fellowship with other believers, and obedience to God’s commands.

As followers of Christ, we desire to love God, love others, serve faithfully, pursue holiness, and share the Gospel with the world through both our words and our actions.

About the Church

We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, and Jesus Christ alone is its Head. The Church is made up of all believers who have placed their faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ.

The purpose of the Church is to glorify God through worship, making disciples, serving others, encouraging one another, and making Jesus Christ known to the world.

About Christ’s Return

We believe Jesus Christ will personally, visibly, and gloriously return. He will judge the living and the dead, fulfill all of God’s promises, and establish His eternal Kingdom. This blessed hope encourages believers to live faithfully as we await His return.
