On Sunday we had the privilege of baptizing seven students, each with a different story of how God has been working in their life.
One of those stories actually began two years ago at a baptism just like this one. A student was invited by a friend to come watch the baptisms that day. It was their very first time at The Walk at Building 229. Two years later, that same student was standing in the water being baptized.
What a reminder that an invitation matters. You never know what God may do when you simply invite someone to come.
Other students shared how God used BigStuf, mission trips, friends, family, leaders, and simply being part of The Walk to help them know Jesus and grow in their faith.
Different stories. Different journeys. The same Jesus.
Jesus gave us the Great Commission:
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them… and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” — Matthew 28:19–20
That is what we pray The Walk will always be about—making disciples who make disciples.
Yesterday was a beautiful reminder that God can use an invitation, a conversation, a friendship, a youth night, a mission trip, or someone faithfully pointing another person toward Jesus.
Seven students. Seven stories. One Savior. What a joyful day!
