Another Amazing Mission Trip to San Francisco - Thank you!

Posted on

We just returned from an incredible mission trip to the heart of the Tenderloin in San Francisco, and we are in awe of what God did this past week. He stretched us, shaped us, and reminded us that even the darkest places can be lit up with His love.

From organizing donated food and passing out groceries, to serving coffee and spending hours on the streets—praying with people, sharing the Gospel, and showing the love of Jesus—our students met people from all walks of life. Many were battling addiction, homelessness, or deep loneliness, yet were open to hearing that Jesus sees them, loves them, and hasn’t given up on them.

One woman approached us with emotion in her eyes and asked for prayer. Shayli gently prayed over her, reminding her that Jesus is always near, even in the hardest moments. When she asked if we were Christians, Reed kindly responded, “Yes ma’am, we are.” She shared a bit of her story, including loved ones who were sick and a daughter she deeply cares for. She even took time to pray over us in both English & Spanish—a beautiful moment of shared faith and connection.

In another encounter, two of our youngest students—just 12 and 13 years old—shared the Gospel with a woman named Tasha who had never heard it before. After hearing about Jesus’ love & sacrifice, she said she believed and prayed to receive Christ right there on the sidewalk.

We are so proud of the students who join us on these trips and choose to live out the Great Commission—Jesus’ call in Matthew 28 to “go and make disciples of all nations.” Just as Jesus once chose 12 disciples to follow Him, we watch young people today step out with boldness and humility to do the same.

We’re also incredibly grateful to City Impact for hosting us so faithfully. They are on the front lines every single day, and it’s a privilege to come alongside their work.

This was our 5th trip to San Francisco and it was truly life-changing. We’re grateful for every chance God gave us to be His hands and feet. From His protection to His presence in every moment, we give Him all the glory. Thank you for covering us in your prayers and support—it made all the difference.
