Another incredible day of local evangelism right here in Thomasville yesterday!
We started by praying and asking God to lead us to the people He wanted us to meet. We spent time in neighborhoods, laundromats, local motels, and places we don’t normally go—simply slowing down, talking with people, listening to their stories, and praying with them.
People shared about their families, health, marriages, loss, and things they are walking through. Several asked us to pray for loved ones who have not made a decision to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
One of the best parts of the day was watching some of our students do this for the very first time—walking up to someone they didn’t know, listening to them, asking how they could pray for them, and then praying with them right there.
This is why we do local evangelism. We want our students to learn God’s Word, but we also want them to live it—to see people, love people, pray with people, and share the hope of Jesus.
We don’t have to travel hundreds of miles to find people who need Jesus. They’re right here in our own community.
