Evangelism on Palm Sunday

Posted on

Yesterday, on Palm Sunday, we didn’t just read about it… we lived it.

On Palm Sunday, crowds welcomed Jesus into the city—many excited, many curious, but not all truly understanding who He was.

Two thousand years later, we walked into our own “city” with that same question in mind: Do people really know who Jesus is?

Our students stepped out and had real conversations with real people.

We met families, kids, and individuals from all kinds of backgrounds—some full of joy, some carrying heavy burdens, some who had never been prayed for before.

We prayed for a family expecting a new baby—for health, peace, and a safe delivery. We prayed for someone walking through a recent medical diagnosis. We prayed for kids dreaming about their future—for direction and purpose. We prayed for people dealing with stress, loss, and things they didn’t feel comfortable sharing out loud.

And what stood out most was this:

We didn’t just “go share something”…

We sat, we listened, and we loved people where they were. Just like Jesus did.

Students who had never done this before stepped out in boldness. Conversations turned into prayer. Moments turned into something eternal. This is why we go.
