NYC-Brooklyn mission trip story 2023: During our time in Central Park we met an older couple named David and Mary. Our group sat on a bench next to them and asked how their day was going. We learned that they were from Scotland and their flight had just gotten in that morning. We enjoyed our conversation so much that time flew by fast. Our group felt like we were sitting with our grandparents as they shared with us about their love for Scotland, traveling, and family. As we got ready to go, we asked if we could pray for them. Suddenly David and Mary were very intrigued. Mary stated, “you must be much more serious about your faith than we are in Scotland. Nobody has ever approached us to share Jesus”. Our group walked away feeling very blessed after spending time with David and Mary. Our group discussed how we pray that the seeds planted that day would spread to Scotland as Davis and Mary pondered what it might look like for someone to share the gospel on the streets in Scotland. - written by someone on our trip
