Los Angeles and Hollywood Mission Trip 2025 - Spring Break

We’ve officially started our second annual mission trip to Los Angeles, CA! This week, our team will be serving alongside Serve LA in Hollywood, as well as spending time in the streets sharing the love of Jesus with those we meet. Please join us in praying—for the people we’ll encounter, for boldness in our students, and for hearts to be open to the gospel. We’re excited to see how God moves and look forward to sharing the stories that come out of this week.

Sunday Morning Mobile Mission Outreach - Street Ministry in Thomasville

Yesterday, our youth group was out doing local evangelism—something we do regularly. A woman we met said, “I think the universe saw me today.” She lost her husband three years ago. Yesterday would have been their 13th wedding anniversary. One of our leaders gently responded, “I believe that Jesus saw you, saw the pain you were in, and wanted to remind you that He sees you and loves you.” Moments like this remind us: God meets people right where they are. He sees. He...

Senior Class - 149 Total Trips - 86 Separate Mission Trips and 63 Bigstuf Camps

The seniors who have attended The Walk Youth Group over the past seven years have gone on 149 total trips—86 separate mission trips and 63 BigStuf camps—more than any class before them. Year after year, from 6th through 12th grade, they showed up, leaned in, and lived out the Great Commission. Those 86 mission trips weren’t just numbers—they were distinct, intentional journeys where students said yes to serving others. That includes: • 54 trips to New Orleans • 12 to New...

"Is Your Group Christian?" San Francisco Mission Trip Story

Every mission trip has moments that stay with you—encounters where you know without a doubt that God was present. One of those happened just outside the Tenderloin in San Francisco. While we were walking the streets and sharing the love of Jesus, a woman approached our group with urgency and emotion. She grabbed Shayli’s wrist and asked us to pray for her. Without hesitation, Shayli began praying—asking for God’s healing, protection, and peace. She gently reminded the woman that...

Street Ministry in the Tenderloin of San Francisco - Mission Trip Story

While doing street ministry in the Tenderloin district of San Francisco last week, two of our students met a woman named Tasha. She stood out right away—there was a kindness in her eyes and a softness in her voice. They approached her with a flower, introduced themselves, and shared that they were in the city to spread the love of Jesus. As they got to know her, they asked if she had ever had any experiences with Jesus or faith. She said no. So, they offered to tell her a Bible story,...

Would You Consider Financially Supporting Us

Would you consider financially supporting our students as they step out in faith to share the love of Jesus? We’ve been so encouraged by the number of students who are growing in their faith and saying “yes” to opportunities to serve. Over 260 students have joined us for youth group this spring, where we’re discipling them each week and helping them build a strong foundation in Christ. They’re now putting that into action—through our recent mission trip to San Francisco,...

Another Amazing Mission Trip to San Francisco - Thank you!

We just returned from an incredible mission trip to the heart of the Tenderloin in San Francisco, and we are in awe of what God did this past week. He stretched us, shaped us, and reminded us that even the darkest places can be lit up with His love. From organizing donated food and passing out groceries, to serving coffee and spending hours on the streets—praying with people, sharing the Gospel, and showing the love of Jesus—our students met people from all walks of life. Many were...

NYC Mission Trip 2024 Student Journal Entry

After being in the park for about 30 minutes, we walked by a lady sitting on a bench. I honestly got nervous, just walking by her, but Lauren said that she felt it in her that we should go talk to her. We turned back around, and as we made an approach, another woman started going towards her and sat down next to her. We made conversation with the two of them and came to find out that their names were Ava and Alyssa. They were clearly struggling in life, drugs in hand, and covered in sores...

DNOW 2025: A Weekend of Faith and Boldness

DNOW 2025: A Weekend of Faith and Boldness This past weekend was truly a testament to God’s faithfulness! We are in awe of how He moved through our DNOW event and the impact made across Thomas County. To our incredible volunteers: THANK YOU! Your love, dedication, and servant hearts were the foundation of this event. From planning to cleanup, you reflected Christ’s love every step of the way, and we are so grateful for you. Saturday Outreach Even in rain and challenging...

Christmas Compassion

This past Saturday, we had the privilege of sharing cookies and kindness at Providence Plaza and another housing complex in Thomasville. It’s a simple tradition we’ve kept alive to remind people they’re loved by God. Our students handed out cookies, played with kids, and gave out children’s Bible books, including the Christmas story. For some of our students, it was their first time praying with a stranger—a humbling and powerful experience. We’re grateful for moments like...
